Room 2806 : The Accusation

Documentaire - Netflix - 52 min

On 15 May 2011, Dominique Strauss-Kahn was arrested in New York City on charges of raping a cleaning lady at the Sofitel Hotel. He was then president of the IMF and favourite in the presidential race, at the height of a faultless political career. A few months later, another affair broke out, that of the Carlton of Lille, which precipitated his political downfall for good.

This documentary series in 4 episodes retraces the extraordinary destiny of DSK, and examines all the elements of these cases, on which there are many grey areas. It is based on archives and unpublished testimonies, notably those of the investigators, the presumed victims and DSK’s relatives.

Room 2806 : The Accusation” also highlights the impact of these cases on French society. By speaking out against DSK, those who accused him initiated the #MeToo movement and contributed to freeing women’s voices.
