This documentary was part of the projects selected for the public pitching sessions in front of international producers and broadcasters. It investigates the ISIS propaganda machine that recycles pop culture codes to terrorize the masses and recruit new candidates for Djihad.
Canal Plus lauded this ambitious project as one of the key elements of its international reaching positioning as heralded by Diego Buñuel, the new head of documentaries for the broadcaster.
As well as signs of interest shown by important broadcasters to Newen Distribution, in charge of international sales, discussions are currently underway for a coproduction with Jigsaw, American director & producer Alex Gibney’s company, recently recognized by a Best Documentary Oscar (2007) and 2 Emmy Awards (2007 & 2013).
Directed by Alain Brunard, this 90’ docu-fiction, to be broadcast in the upcoming months on France 2, was crowned Best Program/Mini-Series by the festival audience and its lead actress, Dominique Reymond, won Best Female Actress for her role as the famous scientist.

This fiction tells of the efforts of the Physics Nobel prize winner and of Claudius Regaud to develop on the front lines on World War I new treatment methods such as radiology, thus furthering medical care and inventing the modern-day hospital.
The awards ceremony by TV France International took place on December 10th in Paris, during the 19th French TV producer Award ceremony organized by the Procirep.
It is in fact the 2nd French Fiction Export Prize for the series Spiral and the 4th one for Newen Distribution (with Lagardère in 2007, Spiral in 2008 and The Secrets of the Volcano in 2010).
Every year, the French Export Prize recognizes the French programs most sold around the world in fiction, animation and documentaries and the role played by the French companies in charge of their international distribution. The nomines are determined through a point-system that favors the distribution work in correlation to the number and importance of sales closed.
After two highly-successful seasons of 8×52’ on Canal+, both in terms of audience and viewer appreciation, this quality French cop series already sold in 30 countries confirms its international potential.
Created by Olivier Marchal, season 2 of the series written by Abdel Raouf Dafri tells the adventures of 4 cops whose lifes are forever changed by the suicide of one of their colleagues accused of illegal dealings. Season 3 is set for next year on Canal+!

The concept? The first dating reality for people over 60! 4 colorful seniors will embark on a cruise ship for 3 weeks of romance. Why a dating show with seniors? In order to show characters who are in numbers in society but totally invisible on TV : the seniors. This year, the jury was made up of Colin Jarvis, CEO of Colin Jarvis Media Ltd and former Head of formats for the BBC, David Lyle, CEO of Fox Look (News Corp), and Annie Wegelius, Head of the programs of SVT, the first public broadcaster in Sweden.
They had to pick one winning format among the 6 chosen by the Wit. And their decision was unanimous!
