NEWEN DISTRIBUTION and IMAGINA INTERNATIONAL SALES launch new talent show from Holland at MIPCOM

(run by Laetitia CelebrityPoleDancing_texte1Recayte) and (run by Géraldine Gonard) distribute together, the most recent creation by Dutch production company.

All part of the NEWEN NETWORK – a European format exchange network created in May 2011 by French independent production group NEWEN -, these 3 companies will celebrate the launch of this brand new show in October 12th at MIPCOM in Cannes.

Produced for RTL5 in Holland (5×90′), CELEBRITY POLE DANCING is a prime-time entertainment TV show, with athletic performances and dancing. Successfully launched on September 14th, the show doubled the channel’s rating in its time slot and achieved more than 10% share in the 20-35 year old target!

The concept is as follows …
12 celebrities aged 20 to 35. Men, women, actors, sportsmen, tv hosts… They are all new to pole dance, but they will compete to be the best pole dancer! Every day and for several weeks, the contestants will practice for their performance on set. Celebrities will improve thanks to professional coaches. 3 high-level pole dance experts and choreographers will judge their performances, and the host will guide the viewers through the show. Only one of them will be the best Pole Dancer!

NeweN Distribution at MIPCOM 2013: 4 genres, 1 rich & diverse offering, great successes

NeweN Distribution, the distribution arm of the NeweN group led by Laetitia Recayte, will be attending MIPCOM 2013 in early October in Cannes.

Focus will be placed on the group’s expertise notably in animation, fiction, non-scripted entertainment shows and documentaries.

With its expertise and multi-genre catalog, NeweN Distribution confirms its position as a leader in the sale of French programs abroad and meets the demands of the global market by offering the best of French production.

Season 2 of the stand-out animation series The Mysterious Cities of Gold, produced by Blue Spirit and broadcast on TF1, will be presented to buyers, following its local and international success thanks to through prestigious sales.

As for documentary, NeweN Distribution will present Lady Liberty (Telfrance Doc & See), a docu-drama on the Statue of Liberty and Mittal (Capa Press), a large-scale investigation on into the group headed by the Indian steel magnate.

In terms of fiction, two emblematic programs will be presented to buyers: The Blood of the Vine (Télécip) crowned  by its first international successes and The Source (Chabraque Productions & Barjac Production) a high-quality spy series for which an agreement to produce a remake in  the USA is currently underway.
The gameshow Harry will also be presented as a non-scripted format. Coming off its successful broadcast in Turkey on ATV, season 2 on France 3 keeps on attracting viewers every day in the 4:50pm timeslot.  MIPCOM offers the unique opportunity to launch as well Big Beauty, the first beauty contest dedicated to curvy women in France and abroad.

NEWEN DISTRIBUTION 4th-time winner of the French Fiction Export Prize

Newen Distribution won the 9th French Fiction Export Prize for the distribution of season 3 of French TV series Spiral, produced by Son et Lumière for Canal+.

The awards ceremony by TV France International took place on December 10th in Paris, during the 19th French TV producer Award ceremony organized by the Procirep.

It is in fact the 2nd French Fiction Export Prize for the series Spiral and the 4th one for Newen Distribution (with Lagardère in 2007, Spiral in 2008 and The Secrets of the Volcano in 2010).

Every year, the French Export Prize recognizes the French programs most sold around the world in fiction, animation and documentaries and the role played by the French companies in charge of their international distribution. The nomines are determined through a point-system that favors the distribution work in correlation to the number and importance of sales closed.

With this new award, Newen Distribution confirms the Newen Group strategy by putting forward, in its catalog, the best of French creation whatever the genre.
